23 DEVONSHIRE PLACE
This project is a Grade II listed building, grouped with its neighbouring buildings at no. 23-25 and positioned on the northern edge of the prestigious Harley Street conservation area. Our works carefully balanced heritage sensitivity with the demands of a modern medical environment, delivering a fully upgraded, compliant and high quality clinical space.
The project comprised of comprehensive internal and external alterations to significantly enhance the floorspace throughout the building. A full strip out and replacement of all electrical, mechanical, network and security services alongside new HCA approved heating, cooling and plumbing systems. Floor voids were cleaned and insulated, new tongue and groove flooring installed where heritage constraints allowed, and new treatment rooms and offices formed on each level. Decorative features were restored or replicated to suit the building’s listed status, followed by a full redecoration and the installation of premium finishes including Amtico flooring, bespoke details, a wool staircase running, and the cleaning and restoration of the
original terrazzo hallway floor.
Externally, sash windows were overhauled and brought back into use, the render was tested and repaired, and the front entrance upgraded with new york stone steps and landing. A new external condenser was discreetly housed within a bespoke lattice pergola with a lead roof, ensuring modern building services were seamlessly integrated whilst preserving the building’s historic character.
